This disclosure market covers the government confirmation between Confirmed and Not confirmed in the 2026 US Confirmation of Extraterrestrial Life Before 2027, scheduled for 2026-12-31 23:59 UTC UTC (the "Contest"). It resolves to Yes if US Government's official result names Confirmed the winner, and to No if that result names Not confirmed the winner.
The official result includes all periods and tiebreak procedures that US Government treats as part of the Contest. If the Contest is postponed, delayed, or suspended, the result of the Contest as ultimately completed applies if a listed participant is named the winner by 2027-01-01 04:59 UTC UTC.
A listed participant named the winner after an abandonment, walkover, forfeit, disqualification, retirement, withdrawal, or administrative decision also applies.
The market resolves to 0.5 if US Government records a draw, tie, co-winners, no contest, or no winner; names anyone other than the listed participants as the winner; cancels the Contest without a replacement; or has not named a listed participant the winner by 2027-01-01 04:59 UTC UTC.
US Government is the primary resolution source; independent reputable reporting may be used if it has not published the relevant result. Once resolved, later appeals, corrections, reversals, or result reassignments do not change the resolution.
